Build Timeline Overview

Every build progresses slightly differently depending on size, specification, and site conditions. This guide provides a simple overview of what to expect, from initial decisions to a completed cabin.
The timeline below reflects a typical self-build or small team installation.

1. Planning and Early Decisions

This stage helps set the direction for the build and creates a clear foundation for next steps.
Before ordering, most people spend time choosing:

Cabin size and model

Insulation level

Exterior finish

Intended internal layout

2. Order Confirmation and Preparation

Good preparation helps the build move forward smoothly.
Once your order is placed, there is time to prepare the site and clarify any details. During this stage you may:

Review drawings and documentation

Confirm access route and build area

Prepare or schedule foundation work

Plan utilities if needed

3. Delivery

Your cabin arrives as modular, clearly labelled components.
Once delivered, the build can begin when the weather and schedule allow.

Panels are manageable and designed for narrow or restricted access.

Materials can be staged near the build area for efficiency.

4. Foundation Installation

The foundation system is installed to support the structure.

Accurate measurements ensure alignment.

The system is designed to work on a variety of ground conditions.

This stage forms the base for the structure to sit level and secure.

5. Cabin Assembly

With foundations in place, assembly begins.
Once the external structure is up, the space becomes enclosed and weatherprotected.

Structural panels are fixed in sequence.

The building takes shape gradually and predictably.

Two people can complete most stages comfortably.

6. Exterior Completion

Exterior finishing details are added. Once complete, the exterior is protected and ready for long-term use.
This may include:

Cladding

Windows and doors

Sealing and weathering details

Any external features

(Decking, steps, or pathway surfacing)

7. Interior Finishing (Optional)

This stage can be completed quickly or gradually depending on preference and specification.
If you’re fitting out the inside, this stage may include:

Electrics and lighting

Plumbing (if required)

Linings and finishes

Flooring

Storage and furniture installation
